Error:
“Could not get vmci driver version. The handle is invalid. you have an incorrect version of driver vmci.sys. Try reinstalling vmware workstation module devicepoweron power on failed”
Resolution:
Open up .vmx file for the virtual machine in your favorite text editor and change the following line:
vmci0.present = “TRUE” to vmci0.present = “FALSE”
Save the file and your VM should launch.
